MatBoss Updates

MatBoss 11.0 is the biggest update we've ever shipped — and it's built straight from your end-of-season feedback.
This release does something MatBoss has never done before: it runs your whole program, not just your film. A full team-management suite. Deeper stats and analytics that tell you what to do, not just what happened. Instant highlights. Automatic tournament match population. And a cleaner, faster app top to bottom.
Everything below is live right now in the app on version 11.0 or newer. Here's the full rundown — and if you'd rather watch than read, head coach and co-founder Tyler Hemmesch walks through all of it below.

MatBoss has always handled your film and stats. Now it handles the rest of the job, too — the logins, the calendar, the weigh-ins, the gear, and the day-to-day communication that used to live in five other places.

Login administration now lives in one place. Copy your team's registration link and share it however you want — athletes register themselves as wrestlers, coaches, or the new manager role. No more handing out personal credentials, and you can see exactly who has access and when they last logged in.
Take attendance daily. Mark each athlete in attendance, late, excused, or unexcused, and add a note to any excused absence — doctor's appointment, test, whatever it is. Pull a report anytime to see attendance percentages and the reasons behind missed time.
Log before- and after-practice weights to monitor weight loss across the room. Want athletes logging their own daily weight? Flip that on in settings — historical data stays locked so the record stays clean. Run a report to see the daily logs instead of keeping a chart on the wall.
Schedule practices, wrestle-offs, meetings, and video reviews, with support for recurring events. Add descriptions and details — like the weight classes for a wrestle-off — and your athletes see it right in their app. Event schedules you load into MatBoss populate on the calendar automatically.
Assign gear — headgear, singlets, whatever you hand out — to specific athletes. Log when it goes out and comes back, note the condition, and generate an end-of-season report to account for your inventory and flag what needs replacing.
Send one-way reminders to the team — bus times, practice changes, anything time-sensitive — and athletes get notified immediately. MatBoss also automatically notifies an athlete when you upload new video or add notes and markings to their matches.
This is where 11.0 goes from recording what happened to telling you what to do about it.

A new visualizations page gives you a lineup heat map showing winning percentages, bonus-point percentages, and MatBoss Power Index scores at a glance. Dig into point differentials, period-by-period scoring, overtime performance, and how your team stacks up in tournaments versus duals.
MatBoss analyzes each athlete's scoring differentials and recommends the optimal starting position — top, bottom, or neutral — for the second and third periods. Stop coaching choice on gut and general habit. Coach it on what the data says about that wrestler. Filter by varsity or JV.
Plan your strategy for an upcoming dual before you ever step on the mat. Model the matchup against an opponent, visualize your lineup, and simulate potential results.
Sort stats like wins and falls by position or period. Key stats link straight to the video clip that produced them, so you can go from a number to the footage in one tap.
Career Stats aggregate an athlete's data across multiple seasons, and Scoring Events give you every match event in one consolidated table.
Add and manage your program's historical records — single-season and career — so the program's history lives in the same place as its future.

Highlights are processed and marked the moment you request them. No more submitting orders and waiting on renders. Watch clips directly, or select multiple and download them in a single zipped folder — building a reel for program promotion or recruiting just got a lot faster.
The Library page was rebuilt to organize your technique videos, camp and clinician footage, and team documents. Record raw video on your phone and upload it, then file it under labels like highlights or technique — top, bottom, or neutral. Store team rules, skin forms, and other documents your athletes need. Pull in links from YouTube or upload your own files, and mark anything inactive or expired when it's no longer needed.

Run more than one account — boys and girls teams, or different middle school levels? Add them once and switch between them without ever logging out, from the top-left navigation on any device. You can also move videos between accounts now, so an upload that landed in the wrong place is an easy fix instead of a headache.
In your My Organization settings, upload your team logo and set your team colors. Your logo now displays during duals against other MatBoss programs — a small thing that makes the whole experience feel like your program, not generic software.
The Roster tab now includes a Depth Chart — organize and print your varsity, JV, and middle school lineups exactly how you want them.
The Matches tab has a new Issues section that surfaces data errors — invalid scoring sequences, unassigned wrestlers — so your managers can find and clean them up fast instead of hunting for what's off.
For USA Bracketing states — Indiana, Ohio, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Alaska — tournament matches now populate in the app automatically once brackets are available. No manually creating match entries on tournament morning, and no risk of missing the start of a bout. (Requires Wi-Fi or a hotspot to sync.)
Every one of these features is available today in MatBoss 11.0 or newer, online or in the app. Open MatBoss and look around — and if you get stuck, our support team is available 24/7 by phone, email, or support ticket.
